NZ ➔ AU ➔ IN 2015

We refer to this vacation simply as the Big Trip. We booked an ambitious three week itinerary to visit New Zealand, Australia, and India all while traveling West around the Globe. Some highlights from our stay in Queenstown New Zealand include a trip to see a Glow Worm Cave near Te Anau, cruise of Lake Wakatipu, touring a working sheep station with merino sheep, Bungy Jumping, Lord of the Rings scene location tour, and running a marathon.

We said goodbye to New Zealand and winged our way across The Ditch to Sydney Australia. We took a back stage tour of Sydney Opera House, climbed the Harbor Bridge, a day excursion to the Blue Mountains, enjoyed a sailboat brunch cruise of Sydney Harbor, took a day long winery and wine tasting tour of the Hunter Valley, and delighted in a symphonic concert at the Opera House.

We opted for a lengthy sedate train ride from Sydney down to Melbourne. While in Melbourne we met up with friends, took a hot air balloon ride, shopped at the Queen Victoria Market, and enjoyed a penguin parade.

Mumbai, India was a quick three day stop over on our way home from Australia. We met up with Mayra from my Madagascar adventure. She played tour guide and host during our brief visit. She showed us around the city, toured some temples, did some shopping, and took a guided walking tour of Dharavi.
